We call Mike the "Redfish Magnet". He converted to kayak fishing in 2001 and started competing in tournaments in 2003. He was awarded "Top 10 Angler of the Year 2004" by the Extreme Edge Kayak Fishing Tournament Series. Whether the tournament is held in Rockport, Galveston, Port O'Connor, or Surfside, Mike will win or place in individual categories. His other passion is hunting, which any person that fishes with him will tell you, he doesn't fish…he hunts the fish. Mike is one of 5 Team Karankawa members that will be fishing for Team Malibu Kayaks during national tournaments in 2006.
